FundaVida’s three computer centers offer a dynamic way to prepare children for the future.  With a focus on robotics and programs developed by MIT, over 400 youth attend weekly computer classes.

FundaVida’s highly-trained teachers challenge students with the following three questions:

·        What problems do you see?

·        What resources do you have?

·        What solutions can you offer?

One student took this challenge to heart and devised an automated system to feed his malnourished dog.  Using an old Coke bottle, computer disk-drive, and some ingenuity, Roger Diaz created an automatic dog-food dispenser to feed his dog when he was unable to be home.

Students redesigned a local bridge in their community, developed a recycling program, created animated stories and even developed an on-line newspaper. Students apply their creativity to solving local problems and addressing critical issues.
