During 2009, FundaVida’s Nutritional Centers served over 29,000 hot meals in the neighborhoods of Alajuelita and Linda Vista.  FundaVida supplies a daily, healthy, hot lunch to children in need.

Doña Martha, a mother from the Linda Vista Community has five children. Each one scales 575 steps to get to the FundaVida Nutritional center and Interactive Computer Center. Doña Martha insists that “for my kids it is often the only meal that they eat for the day. I am glad that FundaVida exists!”

 

FundaVida teaches preventative health-care through seminars in each of the neighborhoods. As a result, 45 children received dental visits and necessary hygiene instruction which would otherwise have been neglected.
